100% Pure Cotton. Made by Hand. Crafted for Fine Art.
At Rosella, our paper isn’t just manufactured—it is born. Every single sheet in our collection is meticulously pulled, pressed, and dried right here in our studio. We believe that the foundation of a beautiful invitation suite should have a soul, which is why we forgo industrial machines to craft our paper using traditional, time-honored techniques.
Formed with Pure 100% Cotton
We begin our process using only premium, 100% pure cotton fibers. Unlike standard wood-pulp papers, cotton paper offers an unmatched tactile experience. It is exceptionally soft, heavy, and luxurious to the touch. Because it is naturally acid-free and archive-quality, it will not yellow or degrade over time, ensuring your wedding invitations remain flawless family heirlooms for generations.
Crafted Entirely by Human Hands
There are no assembly lines in our studio. From the moment the raw cotton fibers are beaten into a rich pulp slurry, to the careful shaking of the mold and deckle, every sheet is formed individually by our human hands. This tactile relationship with the material allows us to control the weight, distribution, and texture of every page, giving each sheet its signature, organically feathered deckle edge.
A Slow, Labourious Process
Making paper by hand is a lesson in patience. It is a slow, deeply rhythmic, and physical process that requires hours of preparation, delicate pressing to extract water, and careful air-drying. It takes days of focused craftsmanship just to create a small, curated batch of paper.
Satisfying, Unrivalled Results
While the journey is long and demanding, the highly satisfying resultsmake every moment worth it. The final reward is a stack of paper that feels like fabric—unbelievably textured, visually stunning, and entirely unique. No two sheets are ever completely identical, giving your custom stationery subtle variations in texture and character that tell the story of how it was made.
